Prince George, B.C.- Barton Insurance at 20th and Victoria Street in Prince George, remains closed as the RCMP wait for the final lab results on a suspicious substance.

RCMP have confirmed they have traced the suspect letter to Ontario and  officers there are  working on it.

Yesterday, 8 employees had to go through a decontamination process after an unknown substance was found in an envelope in the incoming mail.

The worker who discovered the substance immediately called the fire department and the hazardous materials team sprang into action. (photo at right shows hazmat team setting up at site yesterday)

The individuals who came into contact with the substance have not shown any sign of illness. For precautionary measures only, police have sent samples   of the substance to the RCMP lab in Vancouver for analysis.

The Barton insurance building at 20th and Victoria will remain closed until it is certain that the substance was not dangerous.

The only thing worse to finding out if there was something dangerous about the substance would be if there wasn't.

The thought of going through all the decontamination procedures for some twit trying to be funny.

But then god forbid if it was something dangerous, PG is really starting to become a very scary place.
