The Union of B.C. Municipalities has passed a resolution about the carbon tax.
The North Central Municipal Association presented a resolution that called for the Province to:
“Examine the application of the B.C. Carbon tax with the intent of mitigating the impact and creating incentives for local governments and residents to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.”
After an hour of debate, the UBCM resolution that was passed called for the UBCM to lobby the Provincial Government to mitigate the carbon tax in areas where residents cannot make choices about their fuel consumption because of distance, climate or because they have a resource based livelihood.
The carbon tax  is expected to cost the  City of Prince George more than $80 thousand dollars a year, School District 57 is looking at an extra $100 thousand dollars.

Why waste one's time lobbying the Provincial government - who initiated the carbon tax in the first place
The money that will cost the School District could be used for students.
Oh, carbon tax and what happened next - a huge pay hike for the ministries or better yet - keep the cost of the Olympics down - it is all a fake front.
No, it's not a fake front, it's %100 real. The alternative was ask for donations.
