I.D. of Deceased Trucker Released

Prince George, B.C. - The RCMP have released the name of the trucker who was found dead in a burned out semi earlier this week.  38 year old  Sarbjeet Karir  of Prince George  has been positively identified as the deceased driver.

Major crime has  now ruled out  Karir's death as a homicide  and will no longer be involved in the investigation, however the investigation  remains open  and is on going as there is still no word on what caused the fatal fire in the truck.  A female  who was also in the vehicle, suffered serious burns and is in hospital.

The  semi was  found on the side of highway 16 in a  pull out near the Penny Road access shortly after eleven p.m.  last Sunday.
