Prince George, B.C. -  Gangs are the subject of a special information session set to take place in Prince George on Saturday.
Members of the Integrated Gang Task Force (I.G.T.F.) from the lower mainland will be meeting with the Prince George Sikh Youth Society and the Punjabi Canadian Senior Society of Prince George.
Constable Gary Godwin says this session is designed for interested members of the Indo-Canadian community because of the number of Indo-Canadian gangs operating in the lower mainland. “We see this is as proactive, talking to kids and their parents about gangs so they know what signs to look for and how to steer clear of gang activity.”
Constable Godwin says much of the Saturday session will be offered in Punjabi so parents and grandparents who may have English as a second language, have a clear picture of what is happening.
