Prince George, B.C.- Third and George Street will be the place to be at noon today as Downtown Prince George supports what it’s calling a “Let’s Get Started” rally to talk about improving the downtown of the city.
“I want downtown to be a place of community pride” says Downtown Prince George President Shari Green. She says right now it’s a source of community shame.
Green is the driving force behind today’s rally which will hear from several speakers including TiM McEwan, the President of Initiatives Prince George and former Premier Mike Harcourt who is now involved with Sustainable Communities.
The event is not supposed to be a session to complain about the problems facing the downtown, but rather an opportunity to share ideas and start some positive action to bring about change.
