Spruce Kings Lose In Trail

It was a second period the Spruce Kings would much rather forget about and erase from the memory banks.

Like a chalkboard that still shows remnants of the previous lesson, it will linger on as the Spruce Kings go back into the same classroom to show what they learned from the lesson.

Leading 1-0 after twenty minutes, the Spruce Kings found themselves under siege in the start of the second period with bodies banging and crashing and just plain causing havoc all around.

Before the ice had a chance to fully dry, the Smoke Eaters had evened the game at 1.

With a quick power play goal, they took the lead 2-1 and never looked back adding an insurance marker off a missed Spruce Kings chance still in the second. The third period saw both teams trade 14 shots a-piece with neither team scoring.
