I don't know if anyone has seen this yet, but it seems the Israel Asper media empire is calling for the removal of any candidates from all mainstream parties that Canwest media consider is against zionist/neo-con political policy... or is in opposition to a strong Israeli supporter.

The liberals under Dion have purged their ranks of candidates that might have said anything that could be construed as anti Israeli... and the Asper media empire is leading the charge as the resident foreign agents in control of the Canadian political debate.

Now they are calling for the removal of the Prince George ndp candidate Bev Collins because she once said she believed George Bush would use martial law to get his way if he had to. Yesterday Palosi in the US House invoked the never before used martial law act in the the House to try and have the $700 Billion dollar bankster bailout passed without the congressmen and women having a hard copy of the legislation prior to casting their votes (martial law). Therefore splitting hairs one could say Bev was right, but in the view of the Asper National Post Bev was implying a Jewish conspiracy and therefor is not fit to run for office against Dick Harris.

Of course the Prince George Citizen is also part of the Israel Asper media empire, so they will not print anything of this story about the attacks in their national media of our local candidates... so as to keep the sheep silent while the offending candidate is removed by the elite minds elsewhere through pressure to the national party headquarters.

Apparently Canwest Global head office does not feel PG residents should be involved in their candidate vetting/selection for our eventual electoral choice at the ballot. Is this how the media is supposed to work, and is this what deregulation and media consolidation was all about, and so is this how our democracy is influenced?

Personally I think Bev Collins is the best candidate in that riding regardless of what the Asper media empire thinks. Bev is a strong supporter of national sovereignty and has a healthy skepticism of globalization and the NAFTA SPP effects on Canadian sovereignty and IMO that is the most important issue for a federal politician at this point in time.

Today is the first day for the filing of nomination papers for the municipal election.

So why are you giving us all this
good info on the Federl election, eagle?

Cheers
Bridge, I don't always follow the rules. There was no other place to post the information and I think its important.

These same people recently got rid of the CBC's Leslie Hughes as a liberal candidate in Winnipeg for the notion she may have at one time harbored ideas that were considered anti Israeli as per an article she wrote for the CBC in 2003. Dion ruled any candidate with views on Israel can't run for the liberal party and Harper concurred same for conservatives.

Apparently she found out she was dropped by Dion and the liberals while out canvasing and was informed by a constituent.

---------------------

Liberal leader Stephane Dion dropped Leslie Hughes, a veteran journalist, as a candidate in Winnipeg. She referred to the fact that Israeli -government-owned Zim shipping lines broke its lease and moved 200 employees out of the World Trade Center just one week before Sept. 11. Please ignore that this timely move actually took place.

It's a major shock to my faith in the party and the whole system," said Hughes, who refuted the anti-Semite slur by citing her biography of a leading Jewish community figure and the holocaust education classes she taught.

"So it's the theater of the absurd," she said."I have no time for conspiracy theories about the Jewish population whatever," she said. "The article that I wrote -- for anyone who reads it carefully -- is very clearly innocent of any kind of anti-Semitic feeling. I am just absolutely stunned by this. I guess that's how soldiers die in the trenches. This is how it must feel."

Bernie Farber was triumphant: "Lesley Hughes crossed a line which just simply cannot be crossed under any circumstances. There is no room in Canada or anywhere for these modern-age twists on the age-old anti-Semitic calumnies with these odious and dangerous conspiracy theories."

Prime Minister Stephen Harper applauded Dion's decision, adding it's a "very serious thing" that Hughes wasn't immediately disciplined after refusing to retract her comments. "Is this the kind of political discourse that is tolerated in the Liberal party?" he said.

Lol

Conspiracy theorists are always good for a laugh!

On the topic, good luck to the candidates.
Conspiracies every where you look!

Reminds me of Li Kyshing's reply to journalist questions when he wanted to buy the 86 Expo lands, but he had a cloudy past. "There is never a shortage of evidence if you wish to convict someone."

So I'm wondering who's pulling the eagle beagle?
I also laugh at those conspiracy theorists that are always trying to explain away the coincidences like its some kind of... well coincidence. Move along, move along, nothing to see here, just one big huge coincidence... it means nothing.

Yama, the opposite and yet similar to your LiKyshing quote is one from Socrates in his apology... before they killed the old man for treason. Look it up, its a great read and I think you'll find that its actually a rhetorician masterpiece (the classic of the classics) that you would appreciate. He makes a great case that you can't be guilty if you don't know you're guilty (we know what conspirators use that argument lol). Like the hunter that hunts a grizzly bear with a pellet gun for his last battle... Socrates goes out Jesus style (500-years earlier) in making his his argument.
