US Marshalls Get Dawson Creek RCMP To Grab Child Abducters

Dawson Creek- Dawson Creek RCMP acting on a request from the US Marshals Service regarding a child abduction from two years ago have arrested two people . As a result of information received, investigators were able to locate and arrest Perry Dean Sharp and Eileen Marie Sharp in the Dawson Creek area.

The two had custody of Shanae Petersen 9 years old, Eileen Marie Sharp's biological daughter. She was unharmed. Shanae's biological father had full custody of her when she was not returned to South Dakota in August 2006.

US law enforcement officials acted on a tip from the US television show, America's Most Wanted.

Perry Sharp and Eileen Sharp were living in the area under the names, Robert Evans and Dorothy Evans. Both were arrested without incident. Shanae was attending school in the area.

Perry and Eileen Sharp will be handed over to the Canada Border Services Agency who will handle their deportation to the United States. Arrangements are being made for Shanae's transportation back to South Dakota to be reunited with her father
