Diagrams show artists concept of new facade for Spruceland Mall
Prince George, B.C.- Spruceland mall is in for a facelift. The company that owns the mall at 15th and 97, is looking at changing the look of the front of the strip mall, as they reduce the profile and contain all the store signs on a simple border.
The change will also see the use of wood, as special laminates will be introduced.
The permit for the “rejuvenation” sparked the call for landscaping changes. The mall asked Council to waive those changes in exchange for the addition of a landscape triangle at the corner of 8th and Central West.
Council approved  unanimously waiving the  variance on landscaping requirements.  "This is a wonderful opportunity for us to see some improvement" says Councillor Sherry Sethen, "It willbe a great  update and addition to the community."

Nice to see some local businesses taking pride in their storefronts. Not all of them do.
15th? Between 10th and 5th maybe.
just a slight error I assume. Should of read "5th and 97"
Anybody hear what is going in the place of the old Field's store and the Dollar store?
The mall looks quite empty without them in the middle.
A face lift for an aging dowager. Peek behind the shiny facade and you see the wrinkled old girl who has not had the benefit of regular maintenance since she was sold in the eighties. Runnertilsheblows.
metalman.
I would like to know about structual integrityof the building. In the words of jeff dunham, "polish a turd, its still a turd"
oh goodie, a non resident owner using a non resident designer )both from way down south no doubt) to make the parking lot smaller so a pickup truck cannot park there and remove any semblance of weather protection in this northern town with six months of winter.
Just going to be a three dressed up as a seven in my eyes.
