Prince George, BC- The Prince George Cougars have sent 19-year old forward Cody Rainaldi to the Portland Winter Hawks.

The  5’10”; 176 pound from Campbell River, B.C was traded in exchange for future considerations.

His 3 game career with the Cougars gave him 1 assist on the books.

Cougars General Manager Dallas Thompson says Rainaldi made a very good case to play for the Cougars, “Finding ice became more difficult for Cody with the play of Brett Connolly and the return of Ryan Kowalski to the right side. We are happy that we were able to help Cody find a place to play in the WHL.”

Rainaldi spent the 2007-2008 season with the Manitoulin Islanders of the NOJHL which earned him 21 goals and 23 assists totaling 44 points in 47 games.

The count for the Cougars now sits at 15 forwards, 8 defencemen, and 2 goaltenders.
