wow - thats a big chunk of change..I wonder how this is going to be made up..I dont mind the Not for Profit not paying but churches I think should pay. The amount of money that goes into churches (already tax free) would blow your mind - and where does this money go??
Love to see a list of who these freeloaders are??
churches also contubute to those in need. soup kitchens, clothing drives for victims of natural diasters as well a supplying a place of comfort for people. weddings funerals ect. If people would belive in what churchs were teaching there would be no need of police forces.

I bet Opinion250 could provide a list. I've seen the last years names, and it would get some comments alright if the same bunch is on there.
I've seen the list. I'm OK with 99% of the groups on there....there are a few "grey" ones but nothing that a good argulemt couldn't be made for.
99% are very important, hard working (mostly volunteer) community groups that make a huge contribution to our community. I applaud them and applaud Council for continuing to support them.
Is the Prince george Golf & Curling Club on the list?
The Catholic Church is one of the largest corporations in the world. Tax exemption in the name of outdated superstition needs to end.
Betcha the middle class ain't on that list. We pay for everything because we don't qualify "because we make too much money". Hooray for the poor and the rich. Such benificieries. Grrr.
You got that right Harb.
