None of the parties care about the people once they get into the boss's seat. The NDP proved what they were years ago in BC. They all can be bought!

I am sure he means well and it is a folksy approach.

I bit like Bill VanderZalm's venture when promised he would lower the price of a glass of beer for the ordinary working stiff.

Then he ruined it all by trying to get able bodied welfare recipients to pick up a shovel to clear snow away from the bus shelters...

Politics can have their hilarious side too!
