I said it before but here is the rest of the story, "These two were not killed at that house. That is just the police story for now. Stay tuned for more news to follow. And they were killed on the weekend. This story is missing a lot of details."
I said it before, maybe the RCMP need to find out who slick-rick is as he seems to know a lot about what happened.

and if you seem to be so in the know how about going to the RCMP with what it is you do know, or is this all just showboating to prove your a big man, with the in on inside information???

try a little compassion at the moment slick-rick these are still someones children.
Woah Anastasia, I don't detect any kind of non-compassionate form in slick-rick's post. He is simply stating something possibly a fact as he knows it. I do agree with you however, that he should contact the police or crimestoppers with some information if he has it.
slick-rick won't...
i think probably a blow hard...
or am I wrong?
I wonder how many readers of that post already contacted the RCMP with this bit of hearsay evidence?
Hey, the word on the street is just that, the word. The police always know more than they reveal to the public. They know what I am saying already. I just thought you might like to know what the other side of the coin looks like. A person cannot go to the police with rumoures and innuendo. They need evidence which I do not have. I simply heard some whisperings that do not coincide with what the police are saying. No insensitivity implied to the families just the opportunity for different information.
No matter what you "think" happened nobody has the right to take your life away. Both of these YOUNG people lost there lives. Someone lost her son and there daughter. Many lives are broken and I am deeply sorry for there loss. May you both rest in peace! For everyone eles you should be less conserned about passing judgement on the victims and be conserned that there are murdering, rapists on the loose.
i feel totally discusted on saying im from pg,the crime the drugs and murders in this city have to stop and in order for that to happen the rcmp have to step it up and do something about it.as long as they dont this city will just get worse. i am scraed raising my children here..i feel for these familys no matter what these kids were doing or whom they were invoved with they didnt deserve to pass on like this...i pay all my respects to these 2 childrens family because they were still children!!!
I think people are forgetting something. People have the choice as to how they want to live their lives. If you choose to get involved with gang activity, there's a risk. If you choose to keep your nose out of trouble, chances are your risk of having a hit on your are less.
None of these cases have ever been solved, so chances are we have the same killer in all of them. I don't think someone like that limits their killing to gang members only.
Hey itstimetotakeastandforourcity.... why don't you move to Vancouver where there is no crime and drugs...I'm born and raised in PG and proud to call it home, I have spent time in the big city and I can honestly say, they can have it,huge motgages and rent, you have to pay to park everywhere that is if you can find a parking spot,oh and dont forget panhandler's every 4 to 5 feet. These so-called kids made a decision and they had to pay the ultimate price, too bad so sad all these dirtbags know the consequences
hey cobrasnake, Vancouver is no different than here so y would i want to move to a city that is over populated and has more drug activity than pg, I understand that these kids made a choice which was not the right choice but no one has the right to take someone else's life no matter what life style they live..I think that is cold and ruthless to take anothers life,no one should b the judge of takin anothers life no matter what...I also think u r a very cold person to say such a thing especially when no one actually knows the truth behind what has happened.U think the rcmp r gonna tell us the truth good luck they hide so much from the public its sicking.
do not put all the blame on the RCMP. It was us ,Joe public, that have let our law makers make going to prison a joke. All the ammenities sometimes more than the some people have and the right to vote ect. When you hear of people who don't care if they are in jail or not[ some actully want to be there] and then some of the senteces given to crimnals makes me want to puke. Does no one ever think of the havoc caused and the lives ruined. Where is there justice for the victim.
That's my point...don't say your disgusted with PG because of this, organized crime has been around since christ was a cowboy, until we get leaders that are prepared to say NO MORE this will go on forever. How about this for an idea...2 strikes and you are out, and I mean out, dead, executed, finished 6 feet under. If that were the case I don't think to many dirt bags would be interested in growing ,selling or distributing dope. But of course all the bleeding hearts in the world would say "that is cold and ruthless" and yes you are right I am a cold person when it comes to dope dealers and scumbags
I dont care when drug dealers get killed. They choose the life.

But its different in PG when you likely know someone who knew them. Or know one of their siblings. Its alot more personal. I wish these kids thought more about what they are doing to their families and friends when they get involved with this stuff. Some of the families have already had tragety. I dont know about the kids, but the families didnt deserve this.

I hope they all have the strengh to continue.
Well said Born in BC....my thoughts go out to the families at this difficult time.
Met Garrett a few times (at the golf course of all places). There was little doubt what business he was in and I'm no detective.

A very bad lifetsyle choice by a young guy that ended up effecting two families.

Very sad.

Oh so all the others that get into this lifestyle either willingly or not and are killed any place other than PG it is alright!! good to know!!

I don't understand what is wrong with some of you people!! it is so easy to sit in your little worlds and judge other so quickly and say it is a good thing that otehrs have lost their lives!!

Speaking from personal experience, I never in my young life, thought oh how cool it is to get caught up in this lifestyle!! but when there is no one else there for me.........guess what they were!! like it or not!! they become your family and it is like a wild animal pack, there is a ladder/chain of command!! I was one of the many lucky ones that was able to get away from them, but not before my life was taken from me many times!! but GOD willing I was able to get the strength to get away from that lifestyles and get that second chance to grow up!! and in the end become a productive citizen of society! and it was a hard vicious struggle to get to where I am today, but I made it.

So until you know someones background you can not judge them, you don't know what pushed or pulled them into the lifestyle and trust me when you are in it, there is no easy out!! and it isn't like the after school special when they say they want out, they are beat up a little and allowed to walk away!! it is a life & death battle for a long long time!!

With that being said, I am not naive to think that all involved are pushed or pulled into this lifestyle, some willing run/turn to it!! thinking it is going to make them someone!!

But please let us all have some human compassion for these young kids that didn't get that second chance!! and I am sure there are many of us out there that did get that second chance!! and are very grateful we did!!

Hey cobrasnake, you are strongly mistaken if you are thinking that the issue regarding the gangs in PG are related to the growing, selling and distribution of "dope" (aka Marijuana). The real concern is cocaine, crack, crytal meth. This is what the gang lifestyle is about, not pot. Your comments about capital punishment for growing and distributing pot are ridiculous, as the punishment does not fit the crime.

The crime we are seeing in our city, including the recent murder of two people, are a direct result of the drug trade. The reason our young people are being lured into this lifestyle is a direct result of our society, and our deteriorating social safety net, not to mention globalization and the negative effect this has on our local economy. The lifestyle (clothes, vehicles, money, friends) that is provided through this lifestyle is not obtainable through other means realistically (I work full time and can't afford to drive a Lincoln Navigator). The two young people who were just murdered were not only victims of whoever killed them, but also victims of a society that has let them down by failing to ensure their access to the basic needs of life (jobs, homes, and other resources).

I have been fortunate enough that my own kids have not been sucked into this lifestyle, but it worries me still, because it is just a matter of time before somebody unrelated to the drug trade gets killed.

I do remain hopeful that as a community we will be able to come up with some realistic solutions to addressing this issue, to make our community a safe place for everybody.

You are so correct Anastasia. Someone my son knows lives that exact lifestyle - made a very poor choice and is in it deep now. He said that once you're in, you're in, or you are killed. No question about it. So, what would you do in that instance? This is not fun and games and those who are involved do not always get the choice to leave. They are choosing to either live or die and truly feel trapped.

We have no way of knowing why these two people were killed. Maybe they screwed over the boss, or perhaps they gave the police too much information, or maybe they were trying to break loose. No one knows, it's all speculation and the true story will never come to light.

This is a battle that will never be won because people are scared, no one will talk simply because they don't want to die.

Thunder, I was in that situation to get out, and I was out doing "business" and took that opportunity to run, I was able to get on a greyhound bus, didn't really care where it was going, I just knew I had to get out, and as I said before thank GOD, I was able to break free, but it wasn't easy, you really have to want out, and know the dangers that go with getting out, I ran and hid for almost a year, lived in places I prayed they would not think of looking for me, I left the province all together, and I was finally able to start over and took full advantage of my new life and have never looked back.

And by the grace of GOD, my son(15) will continue to be a great kid that is running a strong straight path!!
OK lifer forgive me but I'm sure you know I meant narcotics/illegal drugs whatever...don't blame society blame the politicians who don't have the parts to get tough laws. Why all the sympathy for the family? Did they not look at their little angel driving a $70k ride and maybe ask the question or phone crimestoppers.
IMHO you ain't seen anything yet, wait until all the scumbags go to the extreme fights at the muiltiplex this Saturday, I'm sure we will be reading of more violence next week....
Yeah get tougher laws, how is that suppose to happen when i garante that a lot of our police force and politicians have there hands dirty in organized crime as well,I really don't care if anyone agrees or disagrees with me but that is my opinion..Canada should b more like the U.S.A when it comes to punishments and it 3 strikes ur out not 2 and that's what our country should do then maybe more than half of this stuff wouldn't happen cause they wouldn't have the chance they would b doing life after 3 strikes..And as goes for the fights in pg sat night, I really enjoy mma fighting and im not a drug dealer nor am i involved in any way with organized crime i just enjoy watching that kind of sport entertainment..This is last of what I have to say on this matter.Im done with it and washing my hands clean of it.It is time to let these children rest in peace...
Cobrasnake, you ask why all the sypmathy for the family? Just because a parent suspects or even knows their child is involved in criminal activity, they are still their child, their flesh and blood and their "baby". Maybe they looked the other way, maybe they didn't. The fact remains that losing a child, brother, sister, regardless of the circumstances, is like having your heart ripped out. Thank god my children are making good choices and I pray they continue to do so, but even if one of them strayed, I would still love them, hope for them, dream for them and be their parent, no matter what. Losing them would crush me completley. I think I can speak for anyone who is a parent.
my first thought - sorry to the parents
second thought - yay, the dirtbags are gone before they pulled any more kids into their world...

flame on
yay? you people are enough to make even the strongest stomached people sick. here's a thought...why don't you leave the judging to the big man upstairs?! those who judge SHALL be judged. another thought...have some respect for the dead.
Like they respect the kids they sell drugs to - got it, thanks
I am just in awe of some of the comments posted. Regardless of the lifestyle choices made by these two individuals, I don't understand how that makes their life worth less than anyone elses or how they somehow deserved to have their lives ended. This isn't a tv show or a movie, these are real people who have been a huge part of their family and friend's lives and now that is gone forever. I find it hard to believe that if this was a family member or friend of yours in the same situation that you would feel they deserved it and not be filled with grief and sorrow.
