Highway 16 West Reopened

Prince George, B.C. -  Highway 16 at Norman Lake Road  has been reopened following a serious collision which  had that  section of highway closed for a few hours.

RCMP say one male has sustained serious injuries in the two-vehicle collision, which  involved a pick-up truck and a commercial dump truck, pulling a pup trailer.  Both vehicles were westbound when the crash occurred around 12:30 this afternoon.

The condition of the driver of the pick-up truck remains unknown, however he has been transported to the Prince George Regional Hospital for treatment.  The driver of the commercial dump truck was not hurt in the collision

The investigation continues.

Why hasn't there been a left turn lane installed there by now? That is a very dangerous turnoff.
