Prince George, B.C. - One of the candidates for a seat on Prince George City Council has been involved in a serious crash.
Cameron Stolz, who announced his candidacy earlier this week, was involved in a single vehicle crash while driving to Calgary Tuesday night.
He says he was on the Columbia Ice Fields Parkway around 8:30 p.m. when he rounded a corner only to be faced with a mountain goat standing in his lane. Stolz says he swerved to the right of the animal, and while he avoided the goat, the wheels of his SUV hit the soft shoulder and sent the vehicle in a spin.
The vehicle ended up on its side in the lane of oncoming traffic.
Stolz says neither he, nor his travelling companion his German Shepherd “Bailey” suffered any serious injuries. He is most grateful to a passer by who helped him out of his vehicle and got him and Bailey warm in his vehicle until the ambulance and police arrived on scene.

Ohh... I'm glad you are okay Cam... sorry about the mishap... but I told you not to let Bailey drive... he doesn't pay close enough attention to the road... always barking at those cows and horses...

:-)

Was it one of those short wheel base SUV's that wind up on their lids evry winter?
Glad you are alright! And the pooch too :)
Lots of wildlife out now! There will be more when salting and sanding starts.
Salting and sanding doesn't start until around 8 AM. If it is a privatized portion of highway with lowest bidder doing it we sure don't wanna pay overtime by sanding outside real business hours. That's no way to make money.
He shoulda hit the goat. Teach that dumb goat the rules of the road.
Oh yeah. I hope his dog put the run on that stupid goat.
I am glad that Cam and the dog are ok. Cam is a really good guy.
