Prince George, B.C.- The polls in B.C. are now closed and the ballot counting begins.

In Prince George,  voter turnout was said to be steady throughout the day.

The importance of B.C.'s 36 ridings becomes clear as there are nearly a dozen ridings in B.C. which could see changes.

During either byelections or the last Federal ballot, these ridings produced some very close results.

Here are those very close ridings, with the percentage of votes cast per party and the gap between the winner, and second place:

In four of the ridings, the difference between winning and losing was less than  2%!

Opinion 250 will be keeping a close watch not only on the overall National numbers (155 seats needed to create a majority government) but on the three northern B.C. ridings throughout the evening:

Prince George-Peace River, Cariboo Prince George, and Skeena-Bulkley Valley
