Prince George, B.C.- Representatives from the Royal Military College in Kingston will be in Prince George next Monday.
The members of the special team visiting Prince George include Officer Cadets Mark Sandner and Alex Whittaker, two students from the Kamloops area, currently attending RMC.
In recent years, Prince George has been significantly under-represented at Canada’s national university, compared to other cities of a similar size. Patrick Brown from College Heights Secondary is a fourth-year cadet at RMC. Lance Mooney, a graduate of Duchess Park Secondary graduated from RMC in 2004 and is now serving with the Canadian Forces.
Terry Senft, the RMC Liaison Officer in British Columbia indicated “We would like to turn the situation around and help more students from the Prince George area benefit from this subsidized university programme”. The RMC Information Presentation at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 20 at the College of New Caledonia, Room 1-306 will provide the necessary information to prospective students and parents and answer any questions they may have.
