Prince George, B.C. – The suspicious package which E Division’s demolition unit retrieved from a downtown Prince George business on Sunday, was in fact, explosive.
According to the RCMP, the package “was capable and had the potential to function perfectly” i.e. to detonate. Why it failed to detonate is not known and the answer will elude investigators as the device was taken to a safe site on Sunday and destroyed.
The package was found in a business at 4th and Dominion Streets early Sunday morning after police were alerted to a glass break alarm. When they arrived on scene, they spotted a rock and the package inside the store. They cordoned off the area and waited for the E- Division Demolition Unit to arrive on scene to deal with it.

Oh that's great. Wonder when they'll try again? Seems like there's no end to the violent activity in this town.
That is enough. That is an outrage.
wow...the bar is moved up again...this time i think capital punishment would be appropriate! strap a bomb to the guy who made it and let it go off on him!
Can anyone tell me how hard it is to get a business licence in this town? There seems to be a few "clothing" stores that sell clothes only dirt bags would wear. Why can't revenue Canada/fintrac conduct an audit on these so called businesses. Why don't the cops go to where these guys buy or lease their escalades and navigators and ask the car dealership some hard questions?
cobrasnake;

Why would the RCMP go interrogate a car dealership for selling a questionable person a vehicle if they have the money, instead of just going to interrogate the person in question?

The evidence was blown up? Why not see if some of the jail bait around town wanted to take the package apart?

Cheap thrill, they might like it. No different that playing with snort.
And how do you determine if a person is 'questionable' when they come into your store with money to buy your products? Do you ask them for proof of an honest occupation? (cheap shot here; might not sell anything to politicians using that criteria!) To suggest that the cops should perhaps interrogate people in order to determine how and where they got their money is somewhat Orwellian, as in 1984, as in Big Brother is watching you, I don't think we want that level of intrusion into our personal lives, do we?
metalman.
Rambleon,
why not?did they pay with $100 bills?do they have an automatic withdrawl for their payment?put pressure on anyone who is willing to take their dirty money.
Slick_Rick was seen in the area when this happened, I just got the info from a good source he was dressed up as a mailman carrying some package down dominion street, Stay tuned for details.
Attenton wee willy! It is slick-rick. Get it right. As for the bomb, I hear that there is a bit of a turf war as to who gets to sell the dirtbags their clothes. I just have one further qustion on G'D up cothing, Why do they have a cash machine in a clothing store? Seems strange to me.
That's ludicrous, cobrasnake, it's not up to retailers to determine whether or not the money they accept is from a legal source. If the police have the time to chase down the provider of goods to people they know are shady, they should be going direct to the source instead of putting the policing in the hands of the public.
hey slick-rick how would you know about the cash machine unless you used it yourself when you were in there buying so called dirt bag clothes lol
Slick seems to know many things surrounding what goes on around town with our local gangsters.
Attention "Frankwaprizzo",if you opened you eyes when driving down dominion you could see the cash machine through the window. As for "lostfaithinjesus", don't hate me for being in the know. Ask yourself why it is that you know nothing and still have something to say?
Hey Ramblebum, it is the responsibility of the retailer if these drug dealers are spending too much cash at once or are suspicious as to if they legally obtained their money. The federal goerment has an arm alled FINTRAC. They are set up to look into these things, so get your facts straight.
Retailers are legally obliged to report any suspicous transactions. Cck into it Ramblebum.
Rambleon,
That's where I think you are wrong. The cops are doing everything the solicitor general will let them do.So what I am saying is that it is up to society to try their best to stop this. So if you are the sales manager at a car dealership and a dirt bag comes in and wants to give you 10 $100 dollar bills in an envelope once a month so he can drive a new escalade, its his job to call the cops and check this guy out. There are certain restaraunts in town that I refuse to go to because they allow these creeps to hang out there.Managment reserves the right not to serve people if they don't want to, but these creeps come in and spend a bunch of dirty money and leave the waitress a $50 bill and everyone is OK with that.
So slick dick is in the know. May I suggest you enlighten us all with your great wisdom. You talk like you are one of them. Tell us all who, what, where, when and how they were murdered there son.

Oh and by the way sticks and stones. Sheesh.
Turf war over clothes? I think i heard it all now, You really thing businesses downtown selling clothes want all this heat and attention on there stores. Im sure they would rather just sell clothes and make money.
Lostfaith, i am not goig to respond to your babble. As for wee willy, there is a clothing store on second avenue with close ties to a local biker gang. Remember "3rd avenue hip hop wear", that was owned by a "crew" member. A business that looks legit is a great way to launder dirty money. That is why I mention the CASH machine in the store. Use your head before you start typing there wee willy.
