Man Robbed In Strathcona Park

Prince George - Police are seeking two men following a robbery in Strathcona Park at 9.30 last night.

Two men, one a native male about 20 to 30 , with a handle bar style moustache and a white male , between 20 and 30, 5ft 9 , clean shaven, assaulted a man near Strathcona Ave and Upland St.

The victim was punched and kicked to the face. His back pack was stolen, along with his wallet.

How about an undercover cop with a big gun walking in the park about that time of night. Being a RCMP he can justify offing these perps because he felt his life being threatened. Sound familiar? I won't mention the Vancouver airport incident. Kill the bad guys for a change not the good guys.

Is there any possibilty of turning this into a "hate" crime?

Because if this fellow was cruisin' the park, well that would get lots of action against the thugs.

Some of these comments make it sound like an robbery/beating in Srathcona is a new thing. I can't remember a time I'd consider walking down there alone at night.

I walk alone at night all the time, but I expect and am prepared for this kind of thing. Its not the first time in that part of town and won't be the last either IMO.
