Prince George, B.C.- The  Prince George Exhibition has been awarded first  prize for fairs with attendance of more than  20,000 . 

The announcement was made at the Awards of Excellence in Vernon on Friday.The contributions of B.C. fairs and exhibitions were recognized by Okanagan-Vernon MLA Tom Christensen as he presented the Awards of Excellence.        
The theme for the 2008 Awards of Excellence Program was "Let's Celebrate 150 Years of Agriculture!" as part of the province's BC150 celebrations.

Displays and prizes were supported by a total contribution of $325,000
from the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands.
