Tyrell Named to Canada Russia Challenge

Prince George, B.C. -  Dana Tyrell was one of 15 forwards named to the WHL’s entry into the 2008 ADT Canada/Russia Challenge.
This will be Tyrell’s second appearance with the WHL team as he also took part last season appearing in the first game for Team WHL in Cranbrook, BC.
The sixth annual ADT Canada Russia Challenge will take place November 17th to the 27th, 2008 in Canada as Canadian Hockey League All-Star Teams, from each of its three member leagues take on the Russian National Junior Team in a six game series.
Team WHL was selected by a special committee of WHL General Managers along with Al Murray, Hockey Canada’s Head Scout for the Canadian National Junior Team, as part of the selection process for the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championships.
The two WHL games will be hosted by the Swift Current Broncos on November 26th and the Prince Albert Raiders on November 27th.
Tyrell is off to a blistering start for the Cougars with 13 goals and 19 points in just 14 games. Tyrell is currently one goal off the WHL lead of 14.
Tyrell is in his 4th season with the Cougars and has 158 points in 225 career games with the Cougars.
