Prince George, B.C.- The former publisher of the Prince George Citizen has been given a very special honour.

City Council has approved naming the road to the Prince George Citizen baseball diamond, “ Del Leverdure Way.”

 He passed away earlier this year after battling cancer. His Widow, Vicky, stepped forward and thanked Council for the honour, “Del loved Prince George, and was devoted to doing things to promote andhelp this community. He would have really appreciated it, and as you know, his head would have been a little swollen by this honour.”

Mayor Colin Kinsley  thanked Vicky for “sharing Del with the community.”
