Izaak In the Top Ten

Prince George, B.C.- Eighteen year old dancer Izaak Smith from Prince George, has made it to the top ten in the "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" competition.
Izaak and his partner Kaitlyn Fitzgerald, were declared "safe" in the competition and the bottom three couples were:
Natalli Reznik, 28 and Frances Lafreniere, 28 who performed a salsa routine; Allie Bertram, 18, and Danny Arbour, 26 who performed a hip-hop routine and Lara Smythe, 25 and Miles Faber, 21, who performed a foxtrot routine.
The judges decided Smythe and Lafreniere would be sent home.
Izaak has now survived seven elimination rounds and outlasted nearly 10,000 other competitors. The other survivors are:
- Allie Bertram, 18, a ballet dancer from Calgary.
- Arassay Reyes, 21, a contemporary/Latin dancer from South Surrey, B.C.
-Danny Arbour, 26, a Latin and ballroom dancer from Montreal.
-Kaitlyn Fitzgerald, 18, a contemporary dancer from Loretto, Ont.
-Lisa Auguste, 27, a contemporary/hip-hop dancer from Rexdale, Ont.
-Miles Faber, 21, a popper and boogaloo dancer from Calgary.
-Natalli Reznik, 28, a hip-hop/Latin dancer from Toronto.
-Nico Archambault, 23, a contemporary/hip-hop dancer from Montreal.
-Vincent Noiseux, 22, a contemporary/hip-hop dancer from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que.
The first Top 10 performance episode is next Wednesday. The competition will become more intense as the Top 10 face new choreography and new partners each week.
During the finale in December, one of these 10 finalists will be voted Canada's Favourite Dancer and win $100,000 and the keys to a 2009 Mercedes C230
