Dan Rogers jumped out to an early lead in the Prince George Civic election for Mayor and never looked back to get elected as the new Mayor of the city.

Rogers had 7042 votes to Zurowski's 4919 with seven polls counted to take the win. "Obviously  we are pleased" says Rogers "We worked really hard , right up until  8 o'clock tonight".

Rogers says his first  concern will be looking at the finances "to make sure the numbers look healthy".

This was Rogers second  run at the Mayor's chair.  He ran against incumbent  Colin Kinsley last time, and lost.

Rogers served four terms as a Councillor and was at the top of the polls for all  four.
