Dan Rogers is the new Mayor. This should be interesting.
Congratulations to all! A new beginning for our fair city.

A question, if we the taxpayers pay for governments all civic, provincial and federal, why are the ballot counting computers (we paid for) only used for civic elections??? Seems to me they would not be busy all the other days of the 4 years between? Could not the city lend them to the province or feds for their elections here in pg? Seems a bit of a waste of money to me.
Good Pojnt Hitch.....

However, the machines that our fair city uses are the very same that are responsible for all the chaos in the US in 2000 and 2004 Presidenial Elections...

Automactic is ok, but can you be sure that who you voted for actually got the vote? I know I didn't get a reciept....

"Could not the city lend them to the province or feds for their elections here in pg"

Just a guess, but I'm pretty sure that the ballots are different and they probably have to be of a standardized design for the whole country and/or Province, thereby rendering the local machines somewhat useless for other elections.
Personally I think that the hand-counting of ballots is well worth the extra money. Much harder to compromise than machines and faith in democracy is priceless.
What a joke.
What's a joke, the election results or the above conversation?
It will be interesting to see if downtown shari green has anything to say except for subsidize my poor ol downtown business that no one gives a s>>t about. goodluck with that bs.
Ol Cam Stolz should be a barrell of laughs. No one knows more than the dungeons and dragons king pin in town. We need a know it all on council. Better than a know nothing like the moose. See you in the rut moose.
I voted for 4 people (including mayor) and they were all elected so I'm happy with that. Time will tell.
Arizona, I think the results show that 9 thousand plus people give a s>>t about the downtown. Maybe it's just you and your somewhat negative attitude that's stopping you from moving forward!
