Prince George, B.C.- Sitting Mayor Colin Kinsley and the current Council  will sit tonight for their last time.
The agenda is fairly light.
There will be a presentation from those who oppose the expansion of the Downtown Business Improvement Association.   The bylaw to expand the area has already received three readings and the alternate approval process will accept petitions against the expansion, until tomorrow.
Also on the agenda, the Northern Lights Festival will outline its budget, and the B.C. Seniors Games will talk about a legacy for the City of Prince George.
And Council will be asked to approve giving the RCMP building “pre construction services” contract to  Dominion Fairmile Construction which bid the job at $90 thousand dollars. While their bid was neither the lowest or highest, the company scored very high on experience as it has dealt with major projects, including a police building, in the past.

This shows the arrogance of those who are gone. Why are they awarding a
$90,000.00 contract when they should be kissing us goodbye.

Lets hope its not to late to saddle the new council with a 30 million dollar police building. Maybe we could put them into the castle that Major built?

Cheers
This council should not be awarding anything to anyone at this late date. They should be sitting there being gracious and kissing us goodbye!
Give it a break you two. Business goes on today, much like it did Friday and will tomorrow. To hold up business based on changing of our elected officials is not good both short or long term.

Maybe city council will give hizzoner a gift certificate for a trip somewhere on Horizon Air. Would be fitting. Maybe city council could make a good deal with the airline this time.
