Prince George, B.C.- There have been numerous applications for the post of Superintendent of the Prince George RCMP detachment.
The current Superintendent, Dahl Chambers, is transferring to “E” Division in Vancouver .
North District Chief Superintendent Barry Clark, says the recruitment process is being handled by the Executive Officer Development Unit out of Ottawa. “I know there has been a great deal of interest” says Clark, “Including interest from some members who are serving in Afghanistan.”
The Ottawa team will review all the applications and present a short list to City Hall “It is expected City Hall will arrange interviews with the final list of candidates” says Chief Superintendent Clark. The procedure is “standard” says Clark, and the successful candidate will then have 90 days before he or she is expected to start their new duties in Prince George.
