A 28 year old man was apprehended by the RCMP dog today after he fled the scene of an accident at 10am, this morning.

It all started when the Prince George Crime Reduction team spotted a vehicle that was uninsured in the 400 block of George St. Police suspected the driver was a

prohibited driver and the driver bolted.

The man attempted to flee the scene striking a police officer in his vehicle.

That officer was treated and released from PGRH.

The police did not take up the chase at any time due to the events unfolding so quickly , the vehicle however   began running stop signs , onto  3rd ave , then onto 5th where it collided with three other vehicles at the intersection of 5th and highway 97 .

The driver then fled the scene. A 28 year old female passenger was arrested at the scene. A second 18 year old female was arrested nearby as was a 22 year old Prince George male.

While the police dog was on the way to the scene the suspect was tracked to the 300 block of Ruggles St where he broke into a residence. It was at this address that the dog was able to apprehend him. The suspect was taken to PGRH suffering from bite wounds.

Several are in custody; no charges have yet been laid.

Good for doggie
Given as how he drove no wonder he was prohibited from driving. Shoulda tazered him for it too.
The dog might need shots.
And now someone is going to scream that the police weren't doing their job or police brutality or some other such inane thing.
I think the driver needs to be welded into a cage forever....
That is why never go downtown too many uninsured motorists. Very dangerous down there.
It's a shame that the officer couldn't have lost control of his dog for about 5 minutes.
