Fire At OK Tire In Prince George

Prince George- At approximately 3:40 AM, Prince George Fire Rescue responded crews from three halls to a reported structure fire at OK Tire on 20th Ave. On arrival, flames could be seen 30 feet above the building. The fire was burning in a large quantity of tires that were stacked against the rear of the building.
Despite the difficulty in extinguishing fires of this nature, crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to the the interior of the building. A combination of fire fighting foam and water extinguished the fire in less than an hour, with minimal fire damage to the building.
There were no injuries to fire personnel. .
