Fire At OK Tire In Prince George

Prince George- At approximately 3:40 AM, Prince George Fire Rescue responded crews from three halls to a reported structure fire at OK Tire on 20^th Ave. On arrival, flames could be seen 30 feet above the building. The fire was burning in a large quantity of tires that were stacked against the rear of the building.

Despite the difficulty in extinguishing fires of this nature, crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to the the interior of the building. A combination of fire fighting foam and water extinguished the fire in less than an hour, with minimal fire damage to the building.

There were no injuries to fire personnel. .

Its good to hear the business was saved. I know the owners and they're good people... been doing business there for about 30-years.

There is always an air of suspicion when a fire breaks out at a business that has recently been in the news. Was it not OK tire that was being targeted for blocking side walk access to local residents. Probaly unrelated but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the people that were complaining get a knock on the door from the local constabularies!

No, I think, its just some punks out there successfully causing trouble.

George and Kevin are good people, and have a solid little business, its nothing to do with money.

did a better job on my car alignment than another (unamed) mechanic. Good to hear that the fire was minimized to the outside. Congratulations to the fire crew for doing an exceptional job.

Certainly looks suspicious eh! Some people have nothing better to do than destroy the hard work of others. I hope OK tires can get back up and running soon.

Agree 110% with these comments. It's a great shop with great owners. One of the few places I would trust to send my wife to by herself to have a car problem checked out.

hmm ghetto tire store down in the hood gets burnt down and we are suprised? They were probably selling shit out the back door after hours and finally got regulated by the gangsters in town

FrankRizzo comments are really strange. Maybe a bad mix of his meds and methadone was making him say this stuff.
