Prince George, B.C. – This will be a busy day for those on the outgoing City Council, and the new Council.
The current Council will hold one last meeting starting at 4:30 this afternoon.
The swearing in Ceremony will take place at the Prince George Playhouse at 7 tonight as there were too many guests to hold the ceremony in Council Chambers.
Following the swearing in, the guests and newly sworn in Mayor and Council will attend a reception at the Civic Centre.

Good luck to the new Mayor and Council! In these tough economic times, they're going to have their hands full trying to do much without raising taxes, which most of them promised during the campaign.

I believe many of the councillors ran on the slogan of "Lowest Taxes Possible" which isn't technically the same thing as "No tax hikes". We'll see.
