Oh, oh! Tell me it ain't true! Didn't the mayor and all the candidates run on a promise of no more continuous raids on the wallets of the home owners?

Keep the rates as they are and work on decreasing waste and increasing efficiency!
Surprise, new politicians in office and they are already breaking their word.
Who would have thought that a politician would flat out lie or plain old ignore any and all promises.

Hey lets wait till they have approved or rejected the rate increase. Give them a break. They havent sat down yet. This new rate increase is not something that the present council has asked for. Lets wait till budget time before we get all excited on present rate increases.

If the truth were known its probabluy a test by Mr Bates to see how the new council will bite. What council really needs to do is look at the past performance of those in the ivory tower.

Cheers
Way to go group, 66% of you have already started throwing stones..
Or how about shooting the gun before you can get it out of the holster....

I think I will call you guys the "no toes" gang!!!!

Bridge, thanks for the common sense approach.
It's only a 5% increase. I love the better water quality we now have as a result of the new filtering system. That's less than a dollar a month for that. Much cheaper than Evian. Wish I could get Evian for as low as $18.60 per month.

I am concerned about the Age Friendly Business Ptoject grants. I noticed that the seniors who will be working on the project will only be paid $15/hour. Hopefully someone will make the initial observation that that is not a rate conducive to age friendly business practices.

To many young people on Council to probably notice. Perhaps even too many business people who are used to paying minimum wages. We'll see. Needs to be watched very closely. Hopefully Bev C. will be there to monitor it.
