Wowee! If you believe the governments' statistic machine, the economy must be improving! Or is it that EI benefits have run out for a bunch of people so they are off the radar, and deemed to have found jobs???
metalman.
True Metalman. I wonder how much the welfare numbers will be going up? Food banks will still be a growth industry.
Metalman, you are one hundred percent on the nose. A lot of people have run out of EI. There are going to be some slim Christmas's for some. Don't forget to give to the food banks, help those who need help in your neighbourhood. Take care of our neighbourhood first, and then we will all live in a better community.
Fewer good paying jobs and more low to minimum wage jobs is not a good thing, and that's all this statistic seems to show.

Good idea hespeaks, let us be charitable this Christmas. The food banks help a lot of people, so does the Sally Ann (Salvation Army)
metalman.
Good call metalman!
I got an unemployed neighbour down the street that just handed the keys to his house to the bank.
I bet he finds no comfort in these statistics at all.
I also bet he doesn't believe them either!
