Time will tell. The way I see it is we have two likely possibilities.
Possibility number one is that the Quebec provincial liberals win in a sweep next week and thus wipe out the parti Quebec sepratist party as a force. In Quebec they view the provincial legislature as the national legislature, so that in effect means separatism is dead. The bloc serves at the service of the parti Quebec... so it would no longer have a federal purpose to exist unless it was to turn in mass to one party or another. If it was federal liberal... then in effect they would rival the conservatives for seats in the legislature... and the NDP would hold the balance of power when parliament resumes.
Possibility number two is the Quebec citizens are pissed at hearing English Canada call them separatist traitors and feel insulted into supporting the parti Quebec out of hurt feelings... or some other miss guided influence from the prior weeks commentators... then the bloc has a mandate and the federal liberal party is as much as dead in the water as the Rea's and the Ujal's turn back to the ndp and jump ship. Harper will call an election and clean up on the opposition ndp/liberal and go in for the kill on the liberal party, meanwhile the bloc and the parti Quebec would have a fresh mandate for separation and be expecting nothing less.....
time will tell....

So sad, so unecessary. Harper needs to retire and do something meaningful.
