Dziekanski Was Victim Of Five Taser Attempts

Vancouver -  Polish Immigrant Robert Dziekanski was hit five times with the taser by RCMP officers just before his death at the Vancouver International airport. Whether all of those Attempts hit the mark is not known.

Police now say that the number of times that the taser had been deployed was five, and they credit the mistake to getting bad information from the wrong officer involved in the tazering incident.

At the same time the RCMP say that they seized the information from a private camera taken of the incident, and did not return that film to its owner because they did not want to impede their investigation.

Police also travelled to Poland to take information on Dziekanski before he came to Canada. They said he had no alcohol or drugs in his system, but it was revealed in their investigation in Poland that he was afraid of flying.

The matter now moves onto an inquiry to be conducted by  Supreme Court  Judge Thomas Braidwood.

At this time of writing the Mop & Pail has yet opened their comment section about this incident. More freedom out here? Could be.
Well this shows that the rcmp answer to no one and are a power to only onto themselves. What has become of this once proud organization that seems to now equal a third world police force. The knuckle draggers did their best to drag this man down even going so far as to send some knuckle draggers to his home town to try and get some dirt on him. A real class act. All they could come up with is with him being tired from the long trip, well duh. Might have been suffering from alcohol withdrawal, might have.

No matter what stories they come up with the video shows all. Four poorly trained incompetent goons moving in drooling at the mouth just itching to use the taser to make someone do the funky chicken . Five times they nailed this man.

Then the cops have the nerve to say they did nothing wrong. They murder time and again and walk away. I guess they use shows such as the shield as training films.

These four goons should sue the rcmp for very poor incompetent training.

Be careful out there folks, be very careful. They can't do much about organized crime but they can get you.
When, how many unarmed people needs to be killed by the police before a judge says no more.
I doubt they are above the law! Yes there are some bad apples, and they are getting the lime light right now, (there seems to be a press feeding frenzie), but there are many good officers as well. (And that applies to all businesses and organizations.good and bad) With as many the tazers being recalled, as there is, for testing, one would think it was the equiptment fault not so much the officers, but as I don't have all the information I can not say if they were over zealous or not, maybe, maybe not. But the fellow who died, sure was not innocent either. Had he performed at home as he sid here I am sure he would have faced the same repercussions as he did here. Would the result have been the same, who knows...
BCRacer yes they are above the law!. They are all guilty. Wheres the good ones, where, if there are any they should be trying to turn this outfit around. They nailed him 5 times, 5 times even as Dziekanski was on the ground. I believe they were enjoying it. Did you see the video? Have you heard of the other murders the cops have gotten away with.
Where did this detail of being hit with the tazer 5 times come from? I only ask because the first and only time I have ever heard this in on this site.
Once again cop whitewashers acceded to murder. By their own admission they tazered Dziekanski five times (that is 25 seconds of 50,000 voltage; or more, because they also used direct contact), and left him handcuffed without immediately calling for paramedic support. When help came, they couldn't find a pulse.

Listen to all released video information and you can clearly hear the black cop (the only one authorized to use the tazer) ask another officer if he should use the weapon. And that was before they contacted the murder victim. The four slugs made zero effort to take the man down with physical force, and took his evasive action - walking away in frustration of their wilful refusal to assist his problems - as an excuse to carry out their pre-meditated plan. When he fell to the ground, they used his writhing around in agony as an excuse to further inflict damage.

Further, they deliberately impeded his breathing and blood flow. As he lay dying, they handcuffed him and ensured that he would be out cold.

Because the forensic evidence favoured a charge of Negligent Homicide against all 4 (1 cop is under criminal DUI and Murder charges after he killed a pedestrian while driving drunk), RCMP whitewashers chose to fly to Poland in an attempt to smear their victim. His mother said that he didn't drink at all when he visited her for 2 months. Unable to claim the "excited delerium" voodoo science, they gave "alcohol withdrawl" (unsupported by evidence) as a concocted "contributing" cause of the death. The coverup crowd - sparing the disgusting records of their beneficiaries - pulled every dirty trick from the RCMP-gang's arsenal.

FYI: the AG releases DAILY docket info on criminal cases for every criminal court in BC. Only the morally bankrupt could look at specific cases and not fully understand: cops arrest persons immediately and place charge recommendations on 100% of Form 1 filings. Only where there is a clear issue for trial against their own do they delay for a year their standard conference of a private benefit onto accused cops.
In addition, at the Frank Paul Inquiry in Vancouver, cops admitted that they omit charge recommendations on 100% of Reports to Crown Counsel, where a co-law-breaker (cop) is accused.

BC needs to cease all contracts between the RCMP and local jurisdictions, because they are the largest criminal organization in Canada.

Reminder: Canada's paid slugs deliver work product of: 1 arrest every 2 weeks; 1 conviction per month; 1 incarceration per year; 8 false arrests per year (based on Crown Counsel's refusal to prosecute 30% of cop arrests). Cops neither serve nor protect; they pilfer our tax dollars, and spend money-for-nothing pay cheques.

Reminder: RCMP gangsters tried to coverup inculpatory evidence, by withholding videos from their wage-payers. Further, they first reported that the tazer was used only 2 times. Further, airport videos - under control of the RCMP - were erased. That would have given the cops - similar to the Koester case - an opportunity to use "Carosela" case law to splash a criminal trial.
Leash Cops,

Thank you. You said it well, I need not add any more.

I will however ask, when are we going to stand up as a people, and say we have had enough, and do something about it!

They don't want us to own guns for a reason!!
Every time I hear of these incidents I wonder what type of training these officers are getting. It used to be that 4 officers would show force by surrounding the unarmed person and talk. The person would know that he/she had 4 officers willing to use force, but that the police did not want to use force. I remember a time when the police were negotiators who showed compassion and showed that they did not want to hurt the offender just gain compliance. Now we have officers who appear afraid to put themselves in harms way? Are they not told that their job is to put their lives on the line, that they may be hurt but they are the who stands between society and the bad guys? The RCMP appear to be sending out cops afraid of a physical scuffle and unprepared to talk to anyone. I used to have the highest respect for the police - they were the good guys. Now I turn on the news to see Mr. Dziekanski being brutalized, 4 cops surrounding an 82 year old man in a Kamloops hospital bed and tazering him, cops shooting people and covering up the truth, cops drinking and driving then walking away from the accident they caused, dumping a man in the cold and letting him die on the street, taking trouble makers to the park and assaulting them and on it goes. How does anyone not conclude that there are serious issues with policing? On September 11th we all watched the NYC cops by the dozens run into those buildings to save citizens they were sworn to protect - it made us realize how special these men and women are. They were truly heros and that's what we grow up thinking the police are - where are the heros now?
Good post Annie :)

We need to hear more heroic stories like the officer on the news the other day who trains the pups. He lost his wife to cancer and was out promoting calendars to help raise money. Anyway, my heart went out to him.
(Hope I got that right)

The_grandiquisitor brought it up that the officers don't want to get their heads smashed in so maybe that's something that should be looked into with the uniform. Maybe they would be more willing to use physical strength if they had the proper protective gear?? Who knows. There are so many different roads to this one big problem.
heidi:

don't get soft. if a slug wants to look like a puppy lover, he has a hidden agenda. you can trust them as far as you can spit against a hurricane.

three weeks after the Dziekansi murder, Abottsford RCMPork murdered a man with a tazer, after both beating him up and pepper spraying him. necessary force? NO!!! the man weighed 150 pounds and the killer cops were burly.

hairspray is standard cop issue; they don't want to muss their hair by doing actual work.

if you don't want to work for a living, then become a cop.

Vancouver media is shooting down the RCMPork for their smear of Dziekanski as an "alcoholic." BS!!! He had not drank for years, and he was carrying a bottle of vodka with him - as a gift - when he was slaughtered.

Was he in "delerium" as the whitewashers lie? His last words - in Polish - were "You guys have to be joking." Their service is a joke. Serve and protect? Try avoid and jeopardize.

The tinfoil brigade is out in force again led by the "Truth". Check out Sec 25 of the Criminal Code and read the following excerpt from yesterday's announcement from crown counsel:

"There is a substantial body of independent evidence which supports that the officers in question were lawfully engaged in their duties when they encountered Mr. Dziekanski, and the force they used to subdue and restrain him was reasonable and necessary in all the circumstances,” said Lowe.
“In light of this independent evidence, there is not a substantial likelihood of conviction in this case for any of the offences considered, in fact, the available evidence falls markedly short of this standard.”

By law these officers were found to be doing their job in a correct manner. Calling them murderers is just another pitiful example of anti-police hysteria.

trollunderthebridge, stay there!! You are in the dark, and I think you should stay there!! Do you have power under your bridge??? TV??? OK then, did you watch the video of this MURDER??

I have said it before, and I will say it again! Sometimes it is better to be quiet, and let people think you are an idiot, than to open up your mouth, and remove all doubt!!
When it comes to death in custody I'll never get soft Leash don't worry. As a mother I want the b.s. fixed.
Where there is a problem, there is a solution. The ones that don't want to be part of that solution need to be fired. Selfishness needs to be tossed on it's rear, these men and women need more discipline before something happens.
Did you also see on the news how Generation Y is pretty much telling their bosses when they'll work and how they'll work? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Is this the attitude of the whole young world now? What are we doing to our kids? Problems, problems, problems! Is it guilt parenting or what? My daughter is growing up without her biological father and when she gets a bit lippy you think I let her talk to me that way? Pffftttt...NOT!

:)
I'll never get soft Leash, I just be honest and if I find out that officer has done something unforgiveable then believe me I'll only notice the cute puppy next time (and his wife) and Troll quit with the b.s.
troll, most people around here aren't interested in logical thought. They're more interested in cop-bashing and sensationalism.

Welcome to Opinion250.
Well, now that the truth has come out, this story will fade away...it no longer has the makings of news...to be sensationalized by the media or by people with an agenda.
The last 2 min. of this video is when the truth came out.

Grand, change your name back to the old one. Amazing how the cop lovers crawl out from the woodwork, spewing stupidity and inaccuracies.

The video footage is as clear as day, to refute the depiction of events is unjustifiably denial, by all parties.

A well embellished cover up by our justice system. The four officers were not allowed to testify at their own criminal neglicence proceedings, yet will be required to testify at a public inquiry, where they are free from impunity. Nonetheless the rehearsed version will be as credible as the RCMP statement.
"Amazing how the cop lovers crawl out from the woodwork, spewing stupidity and inaccuracies."

Also amazing how the cop-haters turn an isolated media-sensationalized incidient into an excuse for more cop-hating.
Item of note, I'm a lover not a hater, cops aside.

"an isolated media-sensationalized incident"

Perhaps a tad innaccurate of the last few years events. However, they all seem justified. ;)
You're not the first person that has had his perception of reality skewed by media sensationalism and you probably won't be the last.

"If it bleeds, it leads"...
Amazing how a very well respected and highly educated ex-police officer who worked on a project with the Chief Judge's office disagrees with "professional denialists" that claim this was good and proper police work, and gets labelled a cop-hater. No, I just call this shitty police work. I don't hate them, I just hate the way they do business. Shitty policing is shitty policing any way you dress it up or blow smoke over it.
Well then hey, reasonableman, get a uniform on! Lets see what you can do.
Imagine that a Canadian was killed in Poland after 5 times being tasered. Those cops would have ended in jail for more than 7 years in Poland. This only demonstrates the crisis of justice system in this province.

No wonder the growing corruption and mismanagment in BC public institutions is not checked. .
Everybody that is guilty of something is willing to submit to real justice when they are caught and compelled to atone. A law of truths and rights is respected. When a tazer is pulled out justice is thrown out the window and it now becomes a situation of 'you or them' and that is no good for anybody involved much less justice.

A tazer is not a tool of justice, but rather a tool of terror with an unaccountable death factor and should not be in use in a society where people have rights.
IMO in a lot of cases of 'resistance' it is a natural human response... because the badge of a cop no longer is respected once a weapon like a tazer is pulled out to violate someone like some kind of cattle. The authority of respect disappears because the tools employed violate the contract of humanity.
