Council to Hear Latest Crime Stats

Prince George, B.C. - It’s back to work tonight for the new City Council in Prince George. RCMP Superintendent Dahl Chambers will be joined by Inspector Kirk Hopkins in delivering a report on the third quarter crime stats. The news is good as crime in all categories was down from July to the end of September.
Mayor Rogers will ask for approval of his selection of who should serve on some City Committees.
The Caledonia Cross Country Ski club is requesting the city be a one third partner in the construction of a new Biathlon Facility at the Otway Nordic Centre.
Also on the agenda, a request for $40 thousand dollars for upgrades to the referee rooms at the Kin Centre arenas.
Also on the agenda, details of the Veterans Plaza Spirit Square project which would require the City to spend about $450 thousand with the Province matching those funds.
