Prince George, B.C.- When it comes to the disappearances and murders that have taken place along highway 16, private investigator Ray Michalko says he doesn’t think there is a serial killer involved.
“I think that while a couple of the cases may be linked, I think, unfortunately, that these women were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time and there are several people involved.”
Although the RCMP investigation ( known as E-PANA) has expanded it’s files in this case to 18, Michalko is focussing his efforts on the original 9 disappearances and deaths. His case load involves: Lana Derrick, Ramona Wilson, Roxanne Thiarra, Nicole Hoar, Monica Ignas, Alberta Williams, Delphine Nikal, Leah Alishia Germaine, and Tamara Chipman.
Speaking on the Meisner program this morning on CFISFM, Michalko says someone must have talked “I know that somewhere, someone knows something. Maybe the criminals drink too much, maybe they do too many drugs, but they will have told someone something. I know someone wants to talk, its just a matter of getting them to come forward.”
In addition to releasing a sketch of two people done in 1996 in relation to the disappearance of Lana Derrick,(see previous story) Michalko has set up a toll free hotline. Calls are anonymous.
