Pine Grosbeaks show up at,” Vic’s Diner “on the outskirts of the city for their offerings on a cold morning. The adult male Pine Grosbeaks have a beautiful red colour to them.

Waiting below the feeder is a black fox (shown in photo at right) common to this area also waiting for his (or her) dinner to be served. (Hopefully not the Grosbeaks!)
The black fox has a large black tail which they use to curl around in front of them on these cold days shielding the underside of their body from the cold temperatures.
Vic Mazur says they are regular daily visitors.
