Prince George, B.C. - The Regional District of Fraser Fort George will swear in it’s new Board of Directors today and select a Chair for the year ahead.
There are seven new directors on the Board. The Regional District has also sorted out the Bear Lake Commissioner election. That election had clearly defined the top three vote receivers, but there was a tie for the fourth position. A Judicial recount was undertaken. The Court confirmed there was a tie, and ordered a lot draw. That was done, and the fourth Commissioner has been determined to be Herb Franklin.
The work before the new Board includes a request for a contribution from the Trails Task force, an update on water and sewer services, and an outline of how budget discussions will be handled.
