84- 24 hour suspensions?
Each of those people made the decision to drive knowing they had been drinking, regardless of what they "thought" they had consumed. (hey..we've all been there!)
When they started that vehicle, they did not know that they would luck out with only 24 hour hook.. if they were stopped.
But they took the chance anyway.
Obviously, somebody is NOT getting the message and the numbers show that.
I was surprised I didn't find any roadblocks on my way home tonight (maybe 12:45 am is too early!). My route included Foothills and Queensway, usually great places for the sting, but there were no cops to be found.

In fact, I haven't seen a roadblock all season.

Think of the numbers if there was a stronger police presence.
I didn't see any either at 12:30pm from Upper College Heights down to the bowl from Hiway 16. There is usually one by Northland Chrysler when you come down the hill and have no options to avoid it. Seemed relatively quiet actually.
Is there a fine that goes along with a 24 hour suspension? If not, there should be, and it should be a stiff behaviour altering fine, if there is such a thing.
