Prince George, B.C.- It is January 2nd, and there is now a “New Year’s Baby” for Prince George. The baby was born today at Prince George Regional Hospital, but mom and dad don’t want any details given out until they have had a chance to personally share the good news with their families. The details will be made public tomorrow.
Other communities under the Northern Health Authority have welcomed their New Year’s baby:
Fort St. John was the first, Teslyn Hutchings was born at the hospital on January 1st at 01:05 AM to
mom, Stacey, and dad, Kris, of Fort St John. This is their first baby; little Teslyn weighed in at seven pounds, 8 ounces.

Then came news there was a 2009 baby in Dawson Creek as Isabelle McFaul was born at the Dawson Creek and District Hospital on January 1st at 01:29 AM to mom Randi, and dad Ryan, of Dawson Creek.
Isabelle weighed in at 7 pounds, 2 ounces. The new baby is also welcomed to the world by her big sister, Emma, and big brother, Brennan.

It was then a baby boy who claimed New Year’s Baby honours in Fort Nelson as Linden Richard Dickie was born at Fort Nelson General Hospital on January 1st at 08:29 AM to mom, Kelsey, and dad, Harrison, of Fort Nelson. Linden weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces. The new baby is also welcomed to the world by his big brother, Peyton.
Then, in Smithers, another baby girl as Breyer Moyle was born at Bulkley Valley District Hospital on January 1st at 12:00 noon to mom, Jennifer, and dad, Shannon, of Smithers. Breyer weighed in at exactly 8 pounds. The new baby is also welcomed to the world by her big sister, Keeley.
Kitimat’s New Year’s baby is also a girl. The little girl arrived at Kitimat General Hospital on January 1st at 3:14pm to mom, Tanya Smoley, and dad, Scott Michaluk, of Kitimat. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 8.5 ounces. She is also welcomed to the world by her big brother, Michael.
In Terrace, the New Year’s Baby is a boy. Caleb Coelho was born at Mills Memorial Hospital on January 1st at 10:15 PM to mom, Carissmaa, and dad, Kevin, of Kitimat. The new baby is also welcomed to the world by his big sister, Trinity.
