Prince George, B.C. – There is a special meeting set for 9:00 this morning at the Steelworkers Local 1-424 office in Prince George.
The local members of the Provincial Legislature and one of the area’s two Members of Parliament will be on hand to launch a partnership through the Labour Market Agreement to support workers in Northern B.C.
There are hopes there will be some announcement that would provide continued financial support for unemployed forestry workers who will soon see their Employment Insurance benefits run out.
