Building Permits Down In Quesnel

Quesnel-  Total permit values were down from $26.4 million in 2007 to $13.3 million in 2008 in Quesnel

The city says this was due largely to the Dunrovin expansion, which was entered in the 2007 totals.

Residential values fell from $7.83 million to $5.5 million. Commercial development rose from $2.79 million in 2007 to $7.15 million in 2008.

 Industrial values sat at $300,000 ($1.188 million in 2007), while institutional values were at $380,000 ($14.62 million in 2007). The total number of permits issued was 143, the same number as 2007.
