Worker Taken to PGRH

Prince George- Rescue teams have removed a man from  the pipe bridge between P.G. Pulp and Intercon in Prince George.

The  man was erecting scaffolding on the bridge to make repairs to a  chemical pipe  he came into contact with a high tension power line.  The worker was hit  with 69 thousand volts of electricity.

Power was knocked out to the entire industrial park including Intercon Pulp, P.G. Pulp, FMC, Husky and a chemical plant.

The  contract worker  was said to be  conscious,  and suffering from 2nd and 3rd degree burns.
