Prince George, B.C.- Moose seem to be on the move in Prince George.  earlier today,  a moose had to be  herded back up  Cranbrook Hill when it started wandering  into the  Spruceland area.

Also this morning,  the two in the photo  were spotted on Highland Drive ready to cross over to  gain access to the Hart Highlands Ski Hill.

Conservation officers say  if you spot a moose,  keep your distance, especially if there is a calf in the vacinity as a cow moose can get very nasty trying to protect her  offspring.  Otherwise,  get out the camera or the binoculars,  zoom in and  enjoy!

There has been a cow and calf on the P.G. Pulpmill road for a while now. They are in our front yard pruning our apple trees. They come right up to the house and we watch from the window. There is also a Coyote that roams in this area, also we watch from inside. Nature is beautiful when left alone.
The Foothills Moose crossed just behind me at 5th & Kerry this morning - - had to look in my rearview mirror twice to make sure I wasn't imagining things - - wanted to make a u-turn right then and there but an RCMP was right beside me - decided against it - so the RCMP did it instead!
Is this because of global warming ??
its even more beautiful when you eat it!
If it's beautiful when it is left alone, what is it when it isn't?
During these bad economic times all moose should be shot and the meat donated to the poor.
