Prince George, B.C. -  The University of Northern B.C. hopes to have a new president at the helm by this summer.

Interim President Doctor Charles Jago says the hiring committee was scheduled to meet this week.  Jago says members have started to review qualified candidates to determine who will be interviewed and when.

Jago, who was UNBC President from 1995 to 2006, came out of retirement to fill in after Doctor Don Cozzetto stepped down suddenly last June.  Jago says his number one priority right now is to help with the transition to a new president.

"My primary goal is to assist the university in finding a new president and putting myself out of a job."

Jago says he hopes to see a new president in place by July 1st.

Dr. Charles Jago, is an incredibly unselfish man who has come to our city and has given to our city so much.

Than step forward again out of retirement to help out our University, tells you the character of the man he is.

Lets name a street after him.
There is already a sports centre named after him. Too bad though there is no money to actually put up a sign or his name on the outside of the building.
We have enough streets called Dr.

Hard enough to keep them separated from each other as it is.
