The Groundhogs Have Spoken

Prince George, B.C. - Don't expect to put your shovel away just yet.  Groundhogs in Canada and the U.S. say we can expect another six weeks of winter.

Nova Scotia's Shubnedacadie Sam, Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania, Wiarton Willie in Ontario, and Balzac Billy in Alberta all saw their shadows today.  According to folklore, if a groundhog sees its shadow on Groundhog day, February 2nd, the rodent will head back to his hole, meaning six more weeks of winter.  If he doesn't, it means an early spring.

The prediction is probably no surprise to Prince George residents who suffered through yet another dump of snow overnight.

What do those rodents know anyway? They are back east!!!
Pineview Pete didn't see his shadow!
How can Prince George's groundhog even get out of his hole with all this snow?

I missed Fridays free for all, where has it gone?
I missed the Friday free for all, also. Probably because Ben is on holidays till next week.
Hope he got away to a place with no snow!
Time for some groundhog stew. Any takers?
metalman.
Where is Friday free for all? All my opinions, smart ass remarks, quips, sense of humour are being constrained and are getting bottled up? Bring it back!
Not too much snow to bbq metalman...think positive here. Remember you are a glass half full kinda guy.

:)
Actually Harbinger you just reminded me of an idea I had awhile back. the ning.com community would be a great place to go to continue on comments from Opinion250 without holding Ben and Elaine accountable for anyones comments. A place to do some unfinished business. Kind of like Opinion250ers unleashed.
There are many on here who need to be leashed... and muzzled.

heidi1555... you should know everyone is held accountable for what they say. By someone. There are a very small minority of people who will say evil things based on their own agenda. Everyone has got one. Even you, if ya think about it. The editor of the Citizen many years ago, ( the late Peter Godfrey) said to me that some people get very threatened by other peoples opinions. I believe him. Just so ya know.
Everyone has an agenda. Not everyone has an evil one.
I agree everyone should be held accountable for their own words. I know I came on this site at the ugliest of times in my life and that's probably how I'm labeled now but really when I said unleashed and unfinished business I wasn't thinking of my own agenda. I'm done bantering with people about that subject. Everyone wants to be heard and some of us like to understand how the other side thinks to see where things can improve. So I'm good now.

Unleashed and unfinished business I meant that some articles people have more to say on the topic whether it be on housing in P.G., budgets or new bridges but run out of time. I shouldn't have used the word unleashed I should have said more leash.
Headlines read: '250 ers unleashed!' "lock up your daughters* and hide your silver away" *or sons, as the case may be. Heidi, that seems like a good idea, but do the operators of O-250 mind the ranting and carrying on? I wonder if that is not why we have this venue in the first place, as a way for the average joe/joesephine to express an opinion?
metalman.
lol...oh man I'm so bad at explaining over chat. Sometimes articles close and we are no longer able to comment. Some people may feel they would like to add a few points to the article but it's closed. Would be nice like say on Oprah :) how the camera's keep rolling after the hour show is done.

I'm sure the ranting and carrying on for sure has probably brought a lot of readers back because the articles were written so well I may add that it gets people going but oh no the article closed!

Ok gotta go, Michelle is on Meisner right now :) Love her!
