Prince George, B.C. – The air quality advisory continues, but will likely be lifted tomorrow morning.

Based on the air quality data, the high levels in the past 24 hours were mainly due to combustion emissions (smoke) and some contribution from road dust.

Even though particulate levels are well below the provincial objectives there is a possibility of higher levels this evening as a weak high pressure ridge moves through the region. The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 16 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site at 4:00 pm and 10 µg/m3 at College Heights. The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 30 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown, 24 µg/m3 at BCR and 21 µg/m3 at College Heights.

This Air Quality Advisory is expected to be in effect until tomorrow morning, with an update to be provided tomorrow morning at 11:00 am.

I'm sure glad there is an Air Quality Advisory. It helps me change and conduct my breathing process so it works differently so I can conduct my lungs to work better. Don't fix or change anything about the air. Just tell me the air is dirty. Money well spent. Thanks.
