easy fix: DO NOT EVER, EVER PAY MORE THAN FACE VALUE.
If you do, you are a moronic idiot permitting ticketmaster and scalpers to rip us off.
If they cannot sell over inflated tickets, they will not stay in business.
Same with the "Additional charges", refuse to purchase the tickets with those charges.
They are providing a service for the venue and as such are compensated from part of the proceeds. Maybe not as much as they would like.
The additional fees are nothing more than profit taking at the expense of the consumer.
If event goers stop going to ticketmaster events due to pricing irregularities, event organizers will reconsider ticket distribution methods and providers.
