Duncan, B.C.- Western Forest Products has announced the immediate departure of its Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance, Murray Johnson. He had joined the Duncan based firm in November of 2007.

 

Brian Cairo will be replacing Johnston as Vice President of Finance. Cairo joined the company in March 2006 as Western’s Controller and most recently held the position of Vice President Controller.

 

Western Forest Products had recorded a loss of $85.6 million dollars in 2008. It is the largest coastal BC woodland operator and lumber producer with an annual available harvest of about 7.5 million cubic metres of timber.
