Railway Museum Gets Funding

Prince George - The Central British Columbia Railway and Forest IndustryMuseum Society has been awarded $20,986  by the BC Arts Renaissance Fundto support the Museum's efforts to preserve and display forest and railartifacts.
The Central British Columbia Railway Forest and Industry Museum Societyis receiving $20,986 to help them as they preserve and display forestand rail artifacts and history. The museum they operate is home to oneof B.C.'s largest vintage rail collections.  This includes buildings,locomotives, railcars and more from rail development and equipment fromearly fire fighting and forestry work.
The BC Arts Renaissance Fund's endowment program was created to assistBritish Columbia's non-profit arts and culture organizations to buildpermanent endowment funds by providing matching grants. Income generatedfrom the capital of the funds established by arts and cultureorganizations will provide annual revenues to ensure long-term financialstability and enable new opportunities for growth.
